home. + some.

i just got to spend two weeks at home !  it was a much needed break and visit. i would say i went home and i wasn't at a very good spot mentally. over the course of being home, i know that it helped and i came back definitely at a better place than when i left :)

while i was home ...

-went fishing with my brother

-painted my bedroom 

-helped my dad load firewood

-chatted alot with my mom (and all my family)

-played games

-one evening, a friend invited some kids over for supper 

-my family went to the beach.. is was very misty, but it doesn't seem right to be home and not put my feet in the sand .

-had some good deep conversation, as well as many fun and light hearted ones

-spent a few minutes talking with one of my former students that was home on home visit from sleepy creek. 🤍

*so many evenings were filled ... so i didn't spend alot of them at home ..

*my little sister was very excited that i came home :)

in these few words, i cannot express how lovely it was to be home and what it did to my heart 🤍 

i learned : how God works.. is truly the best for me. i need to lay down my ideas.

the day before i was to fly back to the ranch, God sent me a special want to come back to the ranch. i was very grateful.

i flew back march 23. i had an interesting flight from phoenix... would not exactly recommend sitting by a guy that had drunk before he got on the flight.. and then orders vodka on the flight. it really affected me... he was really getting in my space and he ended up spilling part of his sprite on me. the flight attendant could tell i was not doing okay.. thankfully, i moved seats and sat by a very nice gentleman. as some of the passengers got off, some of them were apologizing that i had to go through that. a lady stopped and asked if she could give me a hug. we ended up talking. i realized again that there are good people in this world :)  ms. katie and ms. jenna were there to pick me up ! :)

friday, the 24th dawned, and i was right back on duty ! they girls were happy to see me, and it was good to see them :) this day, i also received flowers. which made me smile:) my janae is getting married in june and she sent me flowers.. and asked me to be her bridesmaid. :)

march 25- ms. jenna was in charge in the morning until quiet time and then i did after quiet time until bedtime. ms. sharla was gone to a wedding, so we did chores both times on saturday and then didn't have to do any on sunday ! mr. todd's weren't able to come to the ranch in the afternoon. we seam sealed and waterproofed our tents. we went for pizza in the evening. it ended up getting late after we got home because we were sitting in the livingroom talking...

march 26- mr. marjo and ms. carrie had invited us for lunch... they live in walker, mo. so we skipped church and drove to their place. it was a very fun afternoon. after lunch, their kids and us played volleyball on their back lawn. we enjoyed it !

march 27 - one of the ranchers has the privilege to have a campsite down by the creek. during horsemanship, she went down to her campsite. i walked down there with her and checked on her later. i spent some time talking with her. at authorities meeting, i asked if it was okay to leave and go to janae's wedding... and i got the okay ! i am so very happy and thankful 🤍 

*we have been really focusing on positivity... 

*this thursday we mentors and ranchers leave on a four day backpacking trip. if you would, say a prayer for us and our safety.
