.a reflection.

good day to all humans, big & small. 

a look back over 2022.

january brought me back to the state of mountains, snow, hockey, skiing and my students. oh, & i can't forget about the very fun humans i lived with ! also, there was this happy day when janae moved back home from grant, nebraska. while she was home, it was so fun to be with her as much as possible. for all too soon, she was packed and headed to ann arbor, michigan to the unit. so february 16 turned to be a very sad day because i don't really like to tell people i love goodbye.

march came and we put on a school fundraiser. we did a carnival theme and put together a bunch of different games. one of the board members even made a little train. the school board put on a taco meal and some couples did an ice cream shoppe. that evening was a success. for now, some of the classrooms have new carpet !

my coteachers and i had a trip planned to florida. we had booked tickets through an agency, and we ended up being scammed 🤦‍♀️so that was not cool. we had to figure out what to do. it ended up that one of our board members bought us tickets to florida and we bought one coming home. it was kind of a crazy deal. but it was a very fun spring break. just imagine spending from monday - saturday on the beach ... relaxing ... taking walks on the beach ... eating good sea food and just spending good quality time with some really fun humans. we stayed within walking distance of maderia beach. we spent some time there as well as a couple other beaches. we went to clearwater one day and went parasailing. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW COOL THAT WAS. rating: 11/10

the day before left for florida, i received a text message that changed my life. i received a message from ms. carrie about coming to the ranch. i was so amazed and here is why. i had planned to give my contract back to the school board after spring break. well, i ended up giving it back 4 days before i got that message. i can't explain but i was just amazed that God did not have me wait very long before i knew where i would be going next. ms. carrie wondered if there was anytime i could come to the ranch for an interview. i booked a ticket to come to AR over Easter.

april - i attended steven and britney's wedding in geiger, alabama. went home to teach school for two days before i headed out for my interview at the ranch and to meet the people i would later come to know better.

may- end of school. what a very mixed emotion time.  happy for the future but also very sad to say goodbye to kady and ashley. two girls that i had come to love and have so much fun with ! i ended up flying home due to kevin's death. an interesting thing, i ended up sitting by a mennonite couple that was on their way to glenn and then to the funeral as well ..

june - i got to spend this month at home having fun with my family and friends. i got to mark something off that i had been working toward. that was jogging the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE. ok. so it is 1.7 miles .. and i was so happy to have completed it :) thanks to  some really cool people that came with me .. and were crazy enough to join me . the end of june my  family and i headed back to center. i packed my car to come east and they took the rest of the things i wouldn't need west . it was a fun time seeing my CO people. but then .. i said bye to a life i had so well known and loved .

july 4 i arrived at the ranch. kind of scary to get to a place and think this will be home now. 🤍

i hope each of you keep Jesus close and realize how much you are loved by Him 🤍
