life is a journey. 🤍
hello.
people have asked if i am happy at the ranch or if i like it.
yes. i am glad i am here. God wants me here. every day is not the prettiest walk in the park. but living is messy. working on hard things is well... just hard. who wants to face feelings that maybe you don't feel like dealing with. it is definitely easier to stuff it and "pretend" everything is ok. well. why not face the things that need facing? we all can work on things in our lives. no matter if you have come from a good family or if you have come from a hard place or have gone through things that have rocked your ship. we all can grow and look to the Higher Power for direction to become what He created us to be. i am writing this to myself. for, i want to be emotionally mature and not have to face things to be able to grow. but well.. i need to remember that life is a journey. all of my life i will have things to work on and through. all i have to face is today. the best part is this, "He is there, helping me, if i let him."
🤍
have you ever taken a saboteur test?
saboteurs are the voices in your head that generate negative emotions in the way you handle life's everyday challenges. they represent automated patterns in your mind for how to think, feel, and respond. they cause all of your stress, anxiety, self-doubt, frustration, restlessness, and unhappiness. they sabotage your performance, wellbeing, and relationships. ~ from the website positive intelligence
here is the link if you would like to take the quiz and learn how you sabotage yourself :)
(it makes me curious how you sabotage yourself:)
saturday afternoon/evenings are a happy time.
this last weekend, ms katie, ms jenna and I went book shopping and then went to the park. it was a really cool park. think i will go back:) we sat, ate our picnic dinner, and did alittle reading.
oh, and i don't know if you have caught on? but i live with some really great humans. we call ourselves mentors, but we also are very good friends. 🤍
labor day: it was a fairly normal day. the girls had horsemanship. we had our authorities meeting... ect.
but in the evening instead of spending it at home, we went to cam's barn. they were having a fundraiser to help build a school in belize. it was a fun outing for us and made it a special day , since it was a holiday:) the ranchers gave some of their tithe money from trading post, which is really cool.
i had off yesterday afternoon/evening and today. i spent last evening and most of today at ms. lora's. after supper last evening, we went to the park and took a walk. there were so many wild flowers blooming😍 i also, finished a book. i slept in this morning and hung out at her house until this afternoon. then i found myself and my paddleboard at the lake that is like 7 minutes from her house. i really like this lake and it is not very far away. yay. late afternoon i came to becky's and have spent the rest of the day with her. i have to say, it feels very lovely to have relaxed .
thank you for your prayers.
our next rancher arrives friday, so you can say some extra prayers for helping a new girl to settle in.
xo,
ms. brooke
